Pick the situation

Each line leads to a page about that one job: how it is done in Crevillente, what you can do while you wait, and what to tell us when you ring. The phone is picked up 24 hours a day; planned work is booked in normal hours.

Where the doors are

One town, three kinds of street

Crevillente has some thirty-one thousand residents, and their front doors are not all the same kind of problem. Where you are changes how the van gets close and what sort of lock is likely to be waiting.

  • The Vila Vella and the Coves

The old core keeps the narrow, winding layout of the Islamic town, and round its north, east and west edges the ravines are lined with cave houses: in the 1960s and 70s about nine hundred of them, close to a third of every home in the town. Their doors have a page of their own.

  • The extensions

West and south of the centre, the 20th-century blocks of the Eixample, the Parquet and the Parc Nou: a street door, a stair, a flat door, often a garage below. When one of those locks wears out, it is an ordinary lock change, booked for a day that suits.

  • The settlements and the sierra

El Realengo, San Felipe Neri, Las Casicas, the houses by the station and Rincón de los Pablos lie out on the plain towards El Hondo; villas sit on large plots up the sierra and around Campillo. What to say so we find you in each of them.

Before you ring

Promises made before the first ring

There are no customer reviews on this site yet, and none have been written for it. Why the reviews page is empty. Until there are, these are the terms every job is done on.

  • An honest estimate, not a promise of minutes. You are told how long the drive looks from where the van is, for your address, at that hour.
  • The price before the work. It is agreed with you at the door, once the lock has been seen, and nothing is touched until you say yes.
  • Through the lock before through the door. Opening without damage is tried first; drilling only when nothing else works and you agree to it.
  • Proof, kindly asked for. Somebody has to show they may open the door, the car or the safe. If the papers are inside, they are checked once it is open.
  • 22 years in the trade. More on who comes out.

In order

From the first ring to a door you can lock

  1. Tell us where and what

The street, or the settlement; the kind of door; what the lock is doing. A photo of it on WhatsApp is often worth a paragraph.

  2. Hear how far away the van is

A straight estimate for the drive, which depends on the hour and the part of the municipality.

  3. Agree the price at the door

The lock is looked at, the options are explained, and the price is agreed before the work begins.

  4. Lock up before we leave

If the cylinder had to come out, a new one goes in, so the door locks tonight.

The number, the WhatsApp and the email, and when each suits best, are on the contact page.

Questions

Five things people ask first

Do you come out to El Realengo and San Felipe Neri, or only the town?

All of the municipality: the town and its five settlements, El Realengo, San Felipe Neri, Las Casicas, Barrio de la Estación, Rincón de los Pablos. Also Albatera, San Isidro, Catral, Hondón de las Nieves and Aspe.

While you are here, could you make another key for the house or the car?

No. This business does not cut, copy or supply keys of any kind, and does nothing with car keys, remotes or ignitions. With cars, the work is opening a locked door and nothing more.

When is the price fixed, and how do I pay?

The price is agreed with you before the work starts, once the lock has been seen. Payment by cash, card or Bizum.

Can the price and the options be explained to me in English?

Yes. Calls and WhatsApp messages are handled in English and in Spanish, and the price, the options and anything you need to sign are explained in whichever you prefer.

My lock still works but feels rough. Is that worth a visit?

Usually, yes, before it fails on a day you need it. A rough cylinder can be looked at and, if it needs it, replaced at a time you book, which costs less stress than an emergency.
